Your Questions About Salary Compensation Letter

Paul asks…Salary requirement question on an application...?I am applying for what seems to be an entry level Compensation Analyst position and have no experience. I have other areas of HR: direct hire, campus recruiting, payroll and relocation. The company is asking for a salary (online application) and I am hesitiant to put anything down for fear of being too high or low. I have already dodged the salary question by saying I was open on my cover letter. Should I just go with my current?
