I am unemployed so I will give you my example.
I worked for Royal Mail for many years as a Postman, several years ago I had an accident at work and severely damaged my knee, I had to go into hospital for an operation, due to being off sick the management sacked me, I won a substantial compensation claim for unfair dismissal and for my accident. They kept their jobs but I still lost mine.
