Helen asks…Can my ex-landlord keep my things until I pay the rent?I was staying in a b&b with my wife and son. It was the only place I could get when I started my college course. We had agreed we would stay from August to June and they had made me give written confirmation of this. It was agreed that we could have a few cooking facilities in our room, we could use the washing machine when we wanted and we could use the kitchen during the day Monday to Friday before 4pm.
