Maria asks…Can an employer not compensate for additonal work?Hi
I did approximately 70% of a former co-workers' job while she was on maternity/baby-bonding leave for about 5 months and did not receive additional compensation for this on my review. Not only did I do these tasks plus my own but I had to do front desk/reception tasks as well. Not only was there no back-pay for all of the additional work I did but I was not going to get the standard raise and the company wanted to make me a lead
