Robert asks…Comprehensive car insurance claim & what to expect?I was involved in an accident, and have comprehensive. The car is totaled (costs to repair will definitely exceed value of car/insurance). Accident happened when I swerved to avoid being hit by another car without lights on a dark rural road (I'm in Africa but insurance is from UK). Company have asked for 2 estimates, but didn't ask for a police report, although I can get it.
