Ruth asks…If an item is lost via airmail can i claim compensation?Royal mail has conflicting rules on this. Can i claim for items sent to the EU i.e. Austria? Or if not how on earth do i find out which carrier they used so that i can moan at them instead?
Thanksadmin answers:Go to any Post Office and get a Form P58. Complete in and hand it in or post it to Royal Mail.
If the 'item' was Insured or otherwise sent under another service, you will be compensated up to the value of the service
