Lisa asks…What is the 'compensation recovery unit' in the UK?I've had a letter from the 'CRU' asking for details of a recent accident and compo claim that I am to be awarded. I have not claimed any benefits for a number of years and none as a result of this accident.I work for a living but I do vaguely... remember owing the DWP some money from a budgeting loan in the past!
Is the 'CRU' the same dept as the budgeting loan team or is this a standard computer generated letter?? Much obliged and
