Jenny asks…What can i do if a company takes money from my account without permission?I recently called a company to pay £100 off my holiday balance, and they took two payments of £100 instead of one.
I called the company about this and they admitted that they had made a mistake. They said the voided the transaction and it would take a few days to go back into my account, however the money in this account is all accounted for and has caused some direct debits / standing orders to bounce.
